This summer, I hope you'll join me every Monday at 12 pm Ohio time on 91.5 fm (if you're in Lorain County) or on wobc.org (if you're not) for an hour of collective self-portraiture, heartache and grilled sweet corn.
Taking from Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio, a short-story cycle published in 1919 that represents a small town in Ohio through intimate character studies, this show will explore what it means to be alive here now.
I'll be playing songs that are either made by musicians from Ohio, are about Ohio, or to me, just evoke the way I feel when I'm in Ohio. I'll also be broadcasting prerecorded interviews with folks I know from around here, reading written submissions, and providing news and information about current events that are relevant to my communities in Ohio.
Email me at hklein(at)oberlin(dot)edu with questions, comments, ideas, written submissions, wisdom, song requests etc.
